Resistance training to get abs may seem a little odd, lifting weights can give you abs?

Lifting weights and other types of resistance exercise will help you massively on your way to getting a sexy six pack, and this post will tell you why.

A lot of people shy away from weights because they don’t want to turn into a muscle head body builder – well I have news for you people – unless you are lifting damn heavy weights 3x a week and eating about double what you would normally eat, then you don’t have a chance.

It seems to be a common school of thought that it is easy to get massive muscles – well it may not be quantum physics but it isn’t easy.

Body builders have a very strict diet and will measure all of their complex and simple carbs, lean proteins and fats by the gram. They workout with more intensity than most of us would dream of, they often do intense cardio twice a day and almost have to devote their days to it.

  • It increases bone density and makes you more resistant to sickness and disease
  • It can give you the same calorie burning effects as a good cardio session
  • It can help to “fill you out” without getting a massive bulkiness – you only get bulky if you eat an extremely large amount of food.
  • You will look better, feel better and create a toned, lean body

Incorporate weight training into your program 3x a week if you are trying to get a bigger physique and 2x a week if you want to stay quite lean.

In this article I will share a few stomach fat loss tips to help you in your quest for total body domination! Nobody likes the liability of having a stomach that is carrying around excess body fat, and if they do they are either a sumo wrestler or going for ” the fattest man in the world record” .

Break out of your current mind set that you are fat and there is nothing you can do about it. We constantly hear about people who have done the good thing and bust out of their current habits to exceed all expectations and shed unwanted weight in record time.

When trying to lose weight, people get caught up in the latest fad and forget the basic rules behind fat loss that work for everyone. Period. I don’t care if you are the King of Pakistan or a servant in Latin America.

The biggest thing you can do toward weight loss is get in the right frame of mind, everything after that becomes kind of secondary and bears a lot less weight.

When you are in the right frame of mind, it doesn’t matter what sort of exercise you do, it will work.

However if you are not in the right frame of mind, you won’t get off the couch to jog to the refrigerator.

Get Naked And Look In A Mirror

I am deadly serious. This article is not going anywhere and you are not doing anything that important. If you are not committed enough to do this then you will fail to lose weight.

You are probably one of those people that reads self help books and doesn’t do the exercises.
You get to the end of the book and feel the same.

Quit it. Stop doing things half pie and start taking a big of initiative.

This will give you some perspective about how overweight you are.

If you are comfortable with the figure you see, great, if not, that is where I can help.

I tell you to do this not to depress you, but to help you realize that you have a problem, and as we know, the first part of solving any problem is admitting we have a problem.

Once you have done this, get mad.

I don’t care who you get mad at but get mad. Get mad at fast food, couches, rocking chairs, beer, Saturday nights, sugar, chocolate, those running shoes still in their box, just get mad.

Tip number two is:

Make A Goal Of What You Want

You might be able to be a candidate for this little rhetorical question, do you know anybody that has drifted through life without goals?

You do? Wow! Are they in great shape, healthy and satisfied? Or are they always complaining, making excuses and just scraping by?

Goals are what makes a man.

Set some goals, again I don’t care what your goals are, just set them.

A couple of examples could be: I want to lose 15lbs by Christmas, I want to get my body fat down to 9%, I want to fit into by old jeans by my birthday etc etc.

Make them specific, measurable, achievable, realistic, timely goals (S>M>A>R>T)

Magical tip number three is:

Get Off Your Bloody Computer And Do Something Now!

You are obviously not that busy, so go do something right now!
Interestingly enough, I don’t care what you do.

You can go and mow the lawns, do a little bit of tree doctoring, paint your neighbour’s basement or do a knock and run at the mayor’s house.

Do something that will get you puffing and you will feel an amazing sense of achievement and fulfillment.
