You may hold a dumbbell in both hands and alternate sides as you perform the bend. Furthermore, the dumbbell side bend is also performed in water using an aqua dumbbell as resistance.</p>
<p>According to fitness experts, the dumbbell side bend is a side abs workout routine designed to improve oblique strength. Strength in the obliques transitions in to rotational strength which is important in many sports that involve throwing like baseball, football and soccer.
