Squats For A Lean Body
Legs are funny things. We use them so much every day yet we often forget about them in our workouts!
Legs are the biggest muscles in our body, so if we neglect them, we are significantly holding ourselves back. Though you may not
know it, your legs help you in almost every exercise that will help you burn weight Doing squats will get you the lean body you want.
You may not think of it as important to workout your legs, but let me tell you this:
If you workout your legs often, you will see phenomenal fat loss, start doing squats for a lean body.
Strange, and possibly unbelievable, but it is true. Take a look at anyone who has a very low fat level, from body builders to
martial artist, marathon runners to fitness models, they all workout their legs just as often as any other body part, because,
working your legs helps shred fat and helps you build muscle all over.
Squats are the best for fat loss. You are lifting a huge weight (it should always feel huge! even if it is just an empty bar at
the start) plus your are squatting down and driving your whole body plus the weight sky high. Unlike sitting on some useless leg
machine, you are replicating actual movements and stimulating every muscle in your body to grow.
Love em' or not, squats will get you ripped.
I have been lazy recently, but I am going to upload some videos soon and hopefully these will help you with burning off that
body fat and getting ready to strut down the beach like Ali G with a broken leg.
Go onto my site and pick up your course and check out how to do squats properly, I'd hate you to get it wrong and end up under
a tonne of weight on the gym floor.
Learn to love pumping iron and absolutely running your body till' empty when doing cardiovascular activity: the beach babes
will love you for it.
I often joke about how members of the opposite sex will love your new body, but although that is important, I think there is
something more important than that (and the actualy physical change you will enjoy!).
When you pump iron (yes ladies, that means you too, and no you won't get massive muscles! I already wrote a post on that!)
you get a sense of achievement, and when you smash a boxing bag until your arms feel like daggers you can no longer wield,
something happens to you.
Instead of being upstairs watching the idiot box, you are creating a new you, and not just a physical one. It takes discipline
to get your butt into the gym or into your garage and go nuts on your chosen workout for the day. Discipline builds great people,
plus it builds habits. After a while you don't need discipline, you just do it.
It's like going to the toilet.
When you are first born, you don't even know you are doing something wrong, as you get older you realise that you should be going
to the toilet, sometimes you make it, sometimes you don't. After a while we all start going to the toilet on time, every time.
Why?
Because it is extremely uncomfortable not to, because it is a habit, and it has consequences if we don't do it, consequences
that are publicly noticeable.
Pumping iron and working out is publicly noticeable too. If you are overweight, are you not embarrassed? If you are a skinny
little twig, don't you think you should get a wee bit stronger?
I don't say any of this to make anyone feel bad, I just know first hand how it is to experience the amazing high that you get
from working out all the time and seeing results.
Stop being lazy, because that is what you are.
Every time you miss a workout, you give yourself an excuse.
I have done it too, but I try to catch myself out and slap myself, you should too.
So here is todays homework:
Slap yourself in the face really hard and go and pump some weights.
And visit my site.
Over and out
