What Exercise Burns The Most Ab Fat?
If you ask the average punter walking down the street, he or she will probably say sit ups or crunches, but if you have been around me for long enough to get to know me, you will know that an answer like sit ups or crunches would probably result in a sore toe for you.
Those exercises work to strengthen the hip flexors, obliques and the abdominals, yes. Those exercises don’t burn body fat though.
So, if sit ups don’t burn body fat, what exercise does burn that useless ugly fat covering up MY sexy six pack abs?
Friend, the answer is simple:
Anything that gets you sweating like crazy and about 10 minutes into it you start thinking “I think I have had enough of this”.
The reason so few people have a six pack abs and a lean, sexy body is because it actually takes a little work. Once us frail stupid humans get home from work or university, school, kindergarten or wherever you get your $ or education from, we don’t like to keep working.
We want to sit down and “relax” and enjoy our “time off”. We watch television, we play computer games, over eat, get drunk, surf the web for hours, gossip, Facebook, youTube, and generally just waste time.
The exercise that burns the most ab fat and WILL get you the six pack you have always wanted, does require some work.
- You do need to do more than 3 minutes per day (contrary to some websites / product claims)
- You also need to watch your nutrition
- You DON”T need to spend hours every day on exercise or preparing meals, it is only as hard as you allow it to be
- You do need to put in a little effort
If you don’t have the will power or discipline to get some intense fat burning done at least a few days a week, there is no way you will ever get six pack abs.
A ripped set of abdominals is like a boxers bent, crooked and often very ugly nose, it is a tell tale sign of a LOT of experience, dedication and persistence in the face of distractions.
Yes, there is the odd lucky individual who has a nice set of abs and who does nothing all day, but he has those abs in spite of sitting around all day, you probably have to work darn hard for yours.
I find that an incredible amount of people who contact me wanting personal advice and help all have the same problem: Nutrition.
It isn’t hard to do 30 minutes exercise every day or every other day, but it is hard to say no to a free pizza after work paid for by the boss, especially when he supplies the beer and wine as well.
I have all the raw and unadulterated knowledge and information on nutrition in my fat loss and six pack abs book, but right now I am going to show you which exercises burn the most ab fat, because although nutrition is very important, so is the right exercise.
The absolute best fat burning exercises are ones that anybody can do, regardless of current weight or fitness levels because they are so universal, although there are some exercises that are increasingly difficult to provide a cardiovascular and muscular challenge to even the guy or gal who just needs to burn those last few pounds from their belly for perfect abs.
Fat Burners Anyone Can Do:
- Walking, running or jogging: If you already have a six pack, but it isn’t quite visible, obviously walking a few times around the block is NOT going to burn any body fat. However if you are honest enough to admit you are very over your ideal weight, walking around the block for 30 minutes each night will burn a HEAP of body fat. The closer you get to having a ripped set of perfect abs, the harder the body fat is to burn, you have to do more intense cardio and watch your nutrition closer.
- Cardio machines: Anything from exer-cycle machines, elliptical machines to rowers and other contraptions fit in here. Most of these can get you sweating profusely and maintaining an elevated heart rate, the perfect state for fat loss. You do have to maintain a high intensity and a frequency of at least 30 minutes to get a good fat burning session in.
- Something you enjoy: If you love beating people up, get a boxing bag. If you like nice scenery, go for some mountain hikes or put in the hard yards on a beautiful running track. If you are into checking out other guys or girls, hit the local pool or go to the beach and put in half an hour of swimming and an intense pace. You can make a double whammy out of going to somewhere like a spin class, dance class or martial arts class, you get a workout and is a great place to strike up conversation with somebody while they are trying to grasp your hip or land an uppercut onto your chin.
The truth is that although some exercises may be marginally better at burning fat, the ones that you can put the most intensity into will burn the most fat. If you hate running, then obviously it won’t be good for you because you hate it. Try to make cardio more enjoyable by listening to a new album on your MP3 player while you go for it, try and focus on the end results that you WILL see if you put in the hard yards.
Getting a lean body is mostly a mental game, I think you will agree with me that when you have actually put on your workout clothes and tied your laces, once you have set foot in the gym, your garage, or whatever workout you are doing, it is a lot easier to start working out than if you just stayed in your warm lounge procrastinating.
Showing up truly is half the job. The other half comes naturally.
